What is the Foundations Package?
The Foundations Package is a handpicked set of services from the early stages of our full architectural process.
It’s designed as a low-commitment first step to give you certainty on what’s possible for your project.
By the end of it, you'll have a beautiful, tailored concept design for your home; a clear picture of what's realistically achievable within your budget and site; and an indication of what it will cost to build.
From there, you can make an informed decision about whether you'd like to proceed.
What you'll walk away with
Upon completing your Foundations Package, you’ll have:
A written design brief capturing everything we've learned about your project and how you want to live
A thorough professional assessment of your site’s conditions, limitations, opportunities and relevant planning controls
A concept design tailored specifically to your home, your site, your budget, and the way you want to live
An indication of the probable construction costs involved in building your concept, so you can weigh up your options with confidence
How it works

It covers things like what kind of home you’re wanting to build or renovate, and what spaces and features you want your project to include.

About our fees
Why we don’t use percentage fees
Many architects charge their fee as a percentage of your total construction cost. That means the more expensive your project becomes, the more they earn.
We feel that this approach creates an inherent conflict of interest for design recommendations, and this is not something we’re comfortable with.
Why we use fixed fees
We charge a fixed fee for every stage of our process. The fee is set based on the scale and complexity of your project – because that’s what determines the work required from us. It’s not tethered to how much you spend overall.
That means our advice is always in line with your best interests. If we recommend a material, an approach, or a design decision, you know it's only influenced by what’s best for your project.
