The role
We are seeking an experienced Associate / Project Architect to lead the design and delivery of high-end residential projects.
Working closely with the Director and broader studio team, you will manage projects from concept design through to construction. The role includes design development, documentation, consultant coordination, client communication and contract administration.
This is an opportunity to take genuine ownership of projects, contribute to the creative direction of the studio and play an important role in the continued growth of the practice.
Key responsibilitiesDesign Leadership
Lead the design and development of projects from early concept sketches through to construction detailing.
Produce thoughtful, resolved design outcomes that respond to the client, site, budget and brief.
Maintain design intent and quality throughout all stages of a project.
Project Delivery
Manage project programmes, deliverables, budgets and resources.
Lead consultant coordination and ensure documentation is accurate, coordinated and issued on time.
Oversee planning and approval requirements in collaboration with relevant consultants.
Attend site regularly during construction and assist with contract administration.
Work closely with builders and consultants to resolve design and construction matters.
Client and Stakeholder Engagement
Build strong and trusted relationships with clients.
Guide clients clearly and confidently through each stage of the architectural process.
Lead project meetings and communicate decisions, risks and next steps effectively.
Studio Leadership
Mentor and support junior architects and graduates.
Contribute to design reviews, project resourcing and studio planning.
Help strengthen studio systems, processes and quality-control procedures.
Positively contribute to a collaborative, respectful and design-focused studio culture.
What you bringA Master’s degree in Architecture or equivalent recognised qualification.
Registration as an Architect in NSW is preferred.
Approximately 6–10 years of postgraduate experience, ideally within Sydney residential architecture.
Experience delivering high-end residential projects from concept through to completion.
Strong design, documentation and construction-detailing skills.
A sound understanding of NSW planning controls, the National Construction Code and relevant Australian Standards.
Advanced proficiency in Revit.
Experience coordinating consultants and managing project deliverables.
Excellent written, verbal and visual communication skills.
Confidence engaging with clients, builders and consultants.
A collaborative approach, combined with the ability to lead projects independently.
